Tried to snap a few photos but realized photographing babies is tough!

My new reality
Well I returned to work yesterday. Did nothing but ball my eyes out. I am still not sure that I actually believe it is real....it's like a horrible vacation that I am hoping ends at the end of the week. Unfortunately, we all know that's not going to happen. Grandma Debbie has come to Kansas City to spend some time with Leo and to help ease my transition back to work. I would highly recommend having a family member take the first week or two ... I really think it has helped!
I haven't updated you all on my little guy lately. His personality is shining through! He loves his tongue so I stick mine out at him and he does it right back at me! He also loves the "motorboat" sound. I swear I will make the sound and he will try to do it himself....he is one smart fella! We definitely have our own little communication thing going on. Oh he just melts my heart!!
Leo is trying so hard to sit up whenever he is laying in his car seat or chair. He is ready to be all grown up! Time moves so fast and I am trying really hard to enjoy each moment.

Des Moines!
Leo's first trip to Des Moines...what an adventure! For a moment I felt like I had given birth to a celebrity! I think Leo got the opportunity to meet the entire city of Des Moines. We started off the weekend at Papa Tony's where he got to meet lots and lots of family!
Papa Tony is so happy to see Leo!
Leo & Great Grandma Darlene
Aunt Joan loves Leo
G-ma Kathy & Leo
We can't forget about Frank! Having some fun while everyone else is lovin on Leo!
Friday night was all about being introduced to his cousins, aunts, and uncles. It was supposed to be a nice family dinner and gathering but unfortunately, my appointment from earlier in the day went a little longer than planned so I missed most of it. Thankfully, Leo was the main reason for the gathering so I think my absence was forgiven.

Here you go Leo!!
Cheese!
So sweet - Nicholas is holding Leo's hand!
Thank you Sophie for helping me out!
Cousins
By this point, Leo has met a ton of people and I can only imagine he is one tired boy. So what does mom do? Why she makes him meet more people! We started off our lovely Saturday by heading over to the Ross family abode. Let me note that I showed up all frantic and sweaty because Neal had left me to get myself & the baby ready alone. This only took a mere two hours and many trips up & down the stairs. Never again.
We joined Holly & Sarah for a little grub at a local Mexican establishment. While the ladies enjoyed some yummy food, Leo enjoyed a blowout. Yes, the beauty of having a baby. He always seems to pick the most opportune time to create problems. After lunch, we journeyed back to the Ross home and enjoyed some more time with the family.
Aunties Holly & Sarah
Leo stole a lot of attention and I don't think little Colton (Holly's cousin) appreciated it! As you can tell from the pic, he wasn't sure what to think about this little human.
Saturday, mid-afternoon, we headed back over to Grandma Debbie's where Leo met the Rodriquez family, Aunt Gwen, and the King family. Oh boy, was Leo feeling the love and quite possibly lack of sleep. Throughout the evening, friends gathered to celebrate Neal's birthday. We enjoyed some more fabulous food and of course, meeting more people! Leo was passed around non-stop on Saturday - can't say that he got in more than a thirty minute nap.

We loved seeing everyone and getting the opportunity to show off our little guy but I definitely think Leo was happy to see Sunday come so that he could sleep, sleep, and sleep some more!

Get ready
Well thanks to my wonderful husband (only somewhat sarcastic) our computer's hard drive had to be replaced and therefore we are still waiting to get it back! The good news is I am ready to blog so I am going to use an alternative computer for the moment but won't be able to photoshop my photos, which is my favorite part!
